Just had this installed yesterday and it solved my issues with switching the downspouts when I don`t want to use my rain barrel.

perfect part for my, and probably many, installed gutter system. In my case there is installed pipe to carry the gutter downspout to thew street, so by installing this device I can use that as my first flush system, then just switch to go to my cistern.

I have a small fill hose for my 250 gallon tote coming off my gutter, works great if we get 1" of rain. But the problem is in the dry summer and you might get 1/4" of rain the tote just won't fill. I use this diverter to fill with the entire gutter straight into the top of the tank in the summer so I can catch those light rains. This downspout diverter is well made and works.
