Bottom linking flow port is molded closed. You will need a 1.75inch hole saw drill bit to 'drill it open' or cut the very end off with a hand saw.

Place barrel bottoms so that the bottom flow ports are facing each other. Check for location of the garden hose fitting you are going to use before drilling open the flow ports.

Linking fitting for 80 gallon rain barrel

Linking parts kit consists of two flexible hose couplings and one length of 2inch PVC pipe.

Place a rubber fitting on either end of the 2inch PVC pipe. Slip ends of fittings over the newly cut open bottom ports. Push barrels together. (If you have trouble getting the fittings over the plastic use a small amount of vegetable oil or liquid soap to make the inside of the fitting slippery.) Tighten all four screws.

It will be necessary to drill a 1.5 inch diameter hole and install prior to bolting the two halves together.

Barrel Topper Filter - catch large debris before it enters the rain barrel with this downspout filter. Four screws hold this downspout filter in place right on top of the diverter box. Don't forget to choose the color!
