How the Dewpointe® Works

The Dewpointe®’s microcomputer analyzes temperature and humidity and supervises system functions so that maintenance and operations are easy and efficient.

The Dewpointe® 11-Stage Filtration System works like this:

1. Electrostatic air filter removes dust, pollen, mold and other airborne contaminants as humid air enters the Dewpointe®. Atmospheric water production immediately eliminates 95% of contaminants found in municipal ground water.

2. The airflow through the filter system is rapidly chilled to “dew point”. This is the temperature at which the potentially unlimited water in the air transforms from a gas to a liquid. After the moisture has been extracted from the air, the water passes into the unit’s bottom reservoir through an activated carbon filter. Condensation moisture collects on the specially designed coils, which are covered with a FDA approved food-grade coating to prevent potential metal pollution. Once the Dewpointe® has completed the moisture “extraction” process, the water is delivered to an advanced multi-stage filtration system.

3. A germicidal 4-watt UV light destroys bacteria and microorganisms.

4. The inline sediment filter removes ammonia, volatile organic compounds, soil particles, etc.

5. The water begins the purification process as it is pumped through the first of two pre-carbon (coconut hull) filters, which eliminate heavy metals, chlorine residuals, and mineral salts. It will pass through 10 specialized filters, including a proprietary activated carbon filter, four coconut hull carbon membranes, a zero-waste R.O. filter, and powerful UV light sanitation system. This comprehensive purifying system provides unparalleled removal of contaminants and microorganisms. In the end, the Dewpointe®’s water is 99.99% pure.

6. A second pre-carbon filter ensures complete filtration of metal compounds.

7. The water then travels through the zero-waste reverse osmosis filter to be cleansed of any remaining pathogens or micro-fine particles. Unlike other R.O. systems, our system takes the wastewater and diverts it back to the bottom holding tank to be reprocessed so that no precious water is wasted.

8. From here the water moves to the post-carbon filter, which eliminates any odors and enhances the clean sparkling taste.

9. Before the water is directed to the stainless steel upper reservoir, it’s pumped through a second post-carbon filter.

10. An 11-watt UV sterilization light eradicates potential bacteria in top tank.

11. Finally, an 11-watt inline UV sterilization lamp guarantees that clean, fresh water is always dispensed from the water faucet.
